The 4M Church: Methods

The following questions are to be used as a study aid for the sermon preached at the Grace Place on Sunday, August 28, 2011, by Pastor Tommy Dove. To get the most from these questions, go to www.graceplaceonline.usand listen to the sermon first.

Explore:
Have you ever been fishing? With whom?
Describe the sights, sounds and smells of fishing.
Why is fishing so satisfying?
Tell a tall fish tale.
Scripture Reference: Matthew 4:19, 1 Corinthians 9:16-27, John 21:1-6
Excavate:

Jesus commanded us to fish for souls. Where is your favorite “fishing” hole?
Catching a real fish sometimes takes hours or days. How committed are you to catching “fish?”
How willing are you to change your methods in order to catch more “fish?”
Extract:
What reward do you get when you fish for souls?
Tell a story about catching a “fish.”
How will casting a wider net change our church? How many “fish” can our nets hold?
