Explore:

Owning an American Express card gives you privileges and protection.

What protection is there in having “United States” on your passport or birth certificate?

What other names give you protection?  (Suggestions:  job titles, companies, last names, etc.)

What kind of protection do you enjoy from these names?

Excavate:

What does the name “Jesus” mean to you?

How does the concept of “oneness with others” make you feel?

How do we achieve unity or “oneness with others?”

Extract: 

How is unity different from tolerance?

Give an example of how your small group makes you feel protected.

Tell about an experience where you felt you were in the world but “not of the world?”
