Honor God: Eternal or Temporary

January is the month to organize.  What project do you have underway?

What do you currently have in storage?  (Storage units, closets, sheds, etc.)

Which closet do you need to clean out right now?  Why?

What food items do you stockpile?  Why?

Scripture Reference:   Luke 12:13-21

Excavate:

Why was it wrong for the rich man to build a bigger barn?

When have you had a desire to “build a bigger barn?”  (i.e. house, car, possessions)

Which of your possessions would be the hardest with which to part?

When have you experienced true poverty and how did it make you feel?

Extract:

Possessions are not the problem.  An abundance of possessions is greed.

If you built an eternal “barn,” what would you put in it?

What are you doing to invest in the eternal?

What does it mean to “take hold of the life that is truly life?”  (1 Timothy 6:19)

How can you use your talents to bring others to know Christ?
