Explore:

What was your easiest subject in school?

What is the hardest skill you have ever had to train someone else to do?

How do you react to being told what to do?

Would you rather be the teacher or the student?  Why?

Excavate:

Why was it important for Jesus to remind His disciples of His authority?

What were Jesus’ two commands to His disciples?

What steps lead up to a person being baptized?

How are followers taught to obey?



Extract:

As a layperson in the church, what is your role in making disciples?

What is your role in teaching Jesus’ followers?

Why is your obedience important to fellow believers?

What does it mean to you that Jesus promised to always be with you?
