bit better using this week’s topic)

If you could have a farm animal in your backyard, what would it be? Why?
Worship: (Optional for communities who have the time and
talent)
We are going to
camp out on this song for the series, “It’s Forever.”“The Lord Our God” Passion 2013 (See YouTube version on GP Small Groups Facebook page)
Scripture: (Read the word together – use different
readers, different versions, just read it)
Matthew 25:31-46
Lesson: (Delve deeper into the Word and into the sermon
using open-ended questions)
Surprising, sheep
and goats are related through their goat-antelope subfamily. According to Wikipedia, sheep are flock
animals that stay close to one another. Their natural inclination is to follow
a leader. They flee from danger and will
not defend their territory. Goats are
more independent and inquisitive. They
will wander and are known for escaping their pens. They will generally turn and face an intruder.
Why did Jesus use sheep and goats in His illustration?
How do the righteous resemble sheep? How do the unrighteous resemble goats?
What behavior did Jesus praise in the righteous?
When have you seen the “hungry” and feed them?
What are some characteristics of modern-day goats?
How can we promote more sheep behavior in our community?
Prayer: (Share each other’s burdens, become a community of believers)
