DON'T FORGET! Do this in remembrance.

The following questions are to be used as a study aid for the sermon preached by Pastor Tommy Dove at the Grace Place on Sunday, March 30, 2014. To get the most from these questions, go to https://soundcloud.com/#graceplacehermitage and listen to the service first.

These questions can be used in your private Bible study during the week or as the topic for a small group study. For more information on hosting or leading a small group study, click on "GP Small Groups" under "GP Ministries" at www.graceplace.us.

Fellowship: (Break bread with your community, share life from last week, announcements for next week)

Icebreaker: (Get to know your fellow believers a little bit better using this week’s topic)
What is your favorite holiday and why?
What special celebrations did/does your family observe?
With whom would you want to spend your last night on earth?

Worship: (Optional for communities who have the time and talent)
“Communion” Third Day (Find on Facebook)

Scripture: (Read the word together – use different readers, different versions, just read it)
Luke 22:7-23

Lesson: (Delve deeper into the Word and into the sermon using open-ended questions)
Jesus was anxious to celebrate the Passover with His disciples, His friends.  This was a special occasion that He would have observed with His family while growing up.  He was looking forward to it with anticipation.  He knew everything would change after that night.

What is interesting about Jesus sending Peter and John to prepare for Passover?
Why was this night so important to Jesus?
What were the disciples thinking when Jesus blessed the wine?
What is the new covenant?
(If you want to read more about the old covenant, see Genesis 15.)
What do you think about the disciples squabbling at such a time?
How would you respond if you were sitting at the table with Jesus?
Who do you want to sit next to at the heavenly banquet? (Use your imagination)

Prayer: (Share each other’s burdens, become a community of believers)
