The following questions are to be used as a study aid for
the sermon by Rev. Tommy Dove, at the Grace Place on Sunday, September 7, 2014.
To get the most from these questions, go to http://www.graceplace.us
and click on “Streaming.” From there you

Fellowship: (Break bread with your community, share life
from last week, announcements for next week)
Icebreaker: (Get to know your fellow believers a little
bit better using this week’s topic)
What “wonders of the world” have you visited?
What is the craziest thing you have ever seen?
How do you explain the construction of the pyramids?
Scripture: (Read the word together – use different
readers, different versions, just read it
Exodus 3:1-12, 33:12-20, Joshua 1:1-9
Lesson: (Delve deeper into the Word and into the sermon
using open-ended questions)
Preachers are not
the only Christians to receive a calling from God. Moses was a great example of how He can use
ordinary people. When God calls us for a
job, either great or small, we need to be faithful in our response.
Fill in the blanks with P words:
God begins with a __________.
It fulfills a __________.
He provides the __________.
The calling comes with a __________.
Why does God choose to work through people?
How does having a purpose fuel action?
When was a time you felt God’s call?
How would you feel if you were told to be strong and
courageous?
How does God provide power to His people?
How does God’s promise give you courage?
What is God calling you to do collectively as a group?
Prayer: (Share each other’s burdens, become a community
of believers)
