Fellowship: (Break bread with your community, share life
from last week, announcements for next week)
Icebreaker: (Get to know your fellow believers a little
bit better using this week’s topic

What are you thankful for?
How do you share your thankfulness with others?
Scripture: (Read the word together – use different
readers, different versions, just read it
Psalm 100 (Perhaps recite together), Luke 19:36-40
Lesson: (Delve deeper into the Word and into the sermon
using open-ended questions)
Thanksgiving
became an official Federal holiday in 1863, when, during the Civil War,
President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed
a national day of "Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who
dwelleth in the Heavens", to be celebrated on the last Thursday in
November. How awesome to live in a
country that still gives praise and adoration to our Heavenly Father at least
once a year!
How can you be thankful and not praise God?
Why are humans designed to praise God?
Names different forms of praise.
What causes you to praise God?
What is your favorite form of praise?
How is it disobedient if we don’t praise?
How do you feel about public praise? (Moving,
embarrassing, etc.)
What do you imagine praise in Heaven will be like?
Prayer: (Share each other’s burdens, become a community
of believers)
