Fellowship: (Break bread with your community, share life
from last week, announcements for next week)
Icebreaker: (Get to know your fellow believers a little
bit better using this week’s topic
What was your favorite part about Thanksgiving?
Did you do any shopping on Friday? Retail or online?
When did or will the Christmas tree go up?
Scripture: (Read the word together – use different
readers, different versions, just read it
Luke 17:11-19
Lesson: (Delve deeper into the Word and into the sermon
using open-ended questions)
We set aside one
day a year for Thanksgiving. Doesn’t
that make us a bit like the nine lepers who went away without giving Jesus
thanks? Shouldn’t we give thanks every
day for what God has done for us?
How does our sin separate us from our Savior?
What did the lepers want from Jesus?
What brought about their healing?
How are we similar to the lepers?
How should have the lepers responded?
How do you think Jesus felt about the nine?
When have you been guilty of not being thankful?
What has God done for you lately? (Here’s your chance!)
Prayer: (Share each other’s burdens, become a community
of believers)
