A SAVIOR IS BORN! The Shepherds

Luke 2:8-20

Lesson: (Delve deeper into the Word and into the sermon using open-ended questions)
Again this week we see how God used common folk to fulfill His greatest promise.  The shepherds had waited a long time for good news and this was the best Good News!  So good in fact that the shepherds felt it was worth the risk to their flocks to go find the Baby Jesus.  After sharing the Good News, these common shepherd went back to work protecting their sheep but, surely, with a big smile on their faces.  Hallelujah, a Savior has been born!

When have you waited a long time for something?
When have you been the messenger of news?  Good or bad?
What opportunities during Christmas do you have to share the Good News?
How is sharing the Good News a risk for you?
How do you celebrate the birth of your Savior?
What makes Christmas special to you?
