We have experienced a crazy week of weather – ice then snow followed by snow then ice then rain.  When the weather turns bad, we just naturally head for the safety of home.  After Jesus’ temptation in the desert, he naturally headed for home, Nazareth, and the familiarity of the synagogue but this time something was different.  Jesus was full of power and purpose.

What difference does receiving the power of the Holy Spirit make?
Where is the church that Jesus is building?
How can we help build the church?
What are the five points in the mission of the church? 
  1. Bring Good News to the poor.
  2. Captives will be released.
  3. Blind will see.
  4. Oppressed will be set free.
  5. The time of the Lord’s favor has come.

Who are the “missionaries sent by God” the pastor referred to?
What is your part in the mission of the church?
