Fellowship:
Icebreaker:
Have you ever participated in a protest?
What was the cause?
What is the most courageous thing you have ever done?
Scripture:
Acts 2:14, 36-41
Lesson:
Did you see the news
report about three Americans who thwarted a terrorist attack on a train from
Amsterdam to Paris? Two of the three
were military servicemen. When they saw
a man with a gun, they did what they had been trained to do without fear. In the same way, faith in our God gives us
courage to speak up and act out.
Why is Peter an illustration of faith in action?
What gave him his newly found courage?
What about Abraham’s courage from last week?
How does our faith give us courage?
What situations need courage backed by faith?
How does your courage change the situation?
When do you need the courage to speak up?
Where do we need to speak up and act out?
What could you do for God if you knew you couldn’t fail?
