Fellowship:

Icebreaker:
Predict the future – 2065:
How will we communicate?
What will transportation be like?
How will the church adapt?

Scripture:
1 Corinthians 2:9; 15:50-58

Lesson:
It is hard to predict the future.  All we have to go on is how life has changed in the past.  One thing is for sure; however, our spiritual future.  We have seen what our future holds and the future is bright!  Hold fast!  God has already defeated sin!  Work enthusiastically until that day come!

How do our temporary bodies hold us back?
What will our permanent bodies be like?
How does Jesus defeating sin build your faith?
When do you feel overpowered by the world?
How does the pace of change in our society affect your faith?
How does your Christian community help you stay strong?
What work is God calling our community to do?
What work is God calling you to do?
What can you accomplish when you know you can’t fail?  (Yes, this is a repeat!)

I'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS: Tough Love

Icebreaker: What is your favorite Christmas movie? What is your favorite Christmas movie quote? Overview: In the Christmas classic, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” angel Clarence Odbody is forced to lovingly deliver some tough love when George wishes he had never been born. Clarence grants his wish lamenting that there must be an easier way to get his wings. After George has a frightening experience of what life would have been like had he never been born, Clarence says, “ Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around, he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?” In the end, George realizes how wonderful his life truly is despite its difficulties. Truth without love is brutality, and love without truth is hypocrisy.   -- Warren W. Wiersbe God loved us so much that He sent His Son as the Baby Jesus to redeem us. He has placed preachers, teachers and a church in our lives to give us direction so we can mature in our faith. He disciplines us wi...
