INVASION! Invade My Life

Fellowship:

Icebreaker:
What is your best physical feature?
What feature do you like the least?
What do people like best about you?

Scripture:
Philippians 3:3-14

Lesson:
Our Tennessee football teams disappointed all their fans last week.  There were moments of greatness but what matters is the score at the end of the game.  The Apostle Paul was on the fast track to stardom in the Jewish hierarchy but he was a disappointment to God in the one thing that really mattered – knowing Christ.  That all changed when Jesus invaded his life!

Why did heritage matter so much to the Jews?
How did Paul’s identity give him credibility?
What did Paul think was more important than heritage?
Compare righteousness by law to righteousness by faith.
What does striving for righteousness look like?
What gives your life meaning?
How does your relationship with Christ affect how others see you?
