Share a favorite Halloween memory.

Scripture:
1 John 4:7-21

Lesson:
Since Halloween is just past, a discussion about love sounds appropriate.  John says “Perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment.”  We love to be afraid when we know it is just for fun like at Halloween.  Our everyday lives though should be filled with love – for God and one another.

How do we know God is love?
How does God show His love to us today?
How is it possible to love like God loves?
Who is John saying we should love?  Believers?  Good people?  Everyone?
How does the Holy Spirit help us love?
What sign gives our faith confidence? (vs 17)
Why is loving one another mandatory?
