WHO IS THE ULTIMATE AUTHORITY? The Bible Tells Me So

Icebreaker:
When did you get your first Bible?
What was it?
Have you ever memorized the books of the Bible?  When?
For fun, sing “The B-I-B-L-E” together.

Scripture:
2 Timothy 3:16-17

Lesson:
Last year our pastor challenged the congregation to read the entire Bible in one year.  Many people took the challenge and completed it.  Some have even decided on their own to re-read the Bible again in 2016.  The Bible is the Word of God.  People are searching for something in which to believe.  When I am looking for an Ultimate Authority, the Bible tells me so.

Why is the Bible not a rule book?
If not a rule book, what is the Bible?
Why can the Bible be used as an ultimate authority?
What does it mean to you that it is “God-breathed?”
Why do we need to study the Bible?
How does the Bible train you to be the best you?
How does the Bible equip you for your purpose in life?
What is your favorite scripture verse from the Bible?
