Fellowship:
Icebreaker:
Who was your best friend growing up?
Why were you so close?
Why do we need close friends?
Scripture:
Matthew 5:8, Ezekiel 36:25-27
Lesson:
There have not been many good
news stories in the news lately. The
sight of our flag flying at half-mast no longer causes us to pause and take
notice. We are becoming hardened to the violence
and fear. We are steeling ourselves to
protect our tender, human hearts. But
God wants us to remain sensitive and responsive to Him and the hurting world
around us. When we look for good, we
find it.
What things cause us to harden our heart?
How do others wound us?
How do we wound ourselves?
How does our society harden us?
Why did God give Ezekiel this message for these people?
How had disobedience hardened them?
What does it mean to be “pure in heart?”
Why do we need a pure heart?
