Fellowship:

Icebreaker:
What is your favorite flavor?
Which do you prefer:  salty or sweet?
What is your favorite salty food?

Scripture:
Matthew 5:10-16

Lesson:
The Olympics have been a series of highs and lows.  They are the world’s best athletes performing at the peak of their ability in that one area of their life.  On the other hand, we have seen some of them struggle with behavior in other areas of their lives that is not so exemplary.  God’s desire is that our example and our words match up at all times.  We are to be faithful to Him even in the struggles of life.

Why does doing right sometime make us a target?
How does persecution cause us to struggle?
How does poor behavior during a struggle hurt our witness?
What helps you retain your good “flavor?”
Why is it important for us to be different “flavors?”
What do you consider your light to be?
How do you shine your light (good deeds)?
Who sees your light on a daily basis?
Who should get the glory from your good deeds?
