Fellowship:

Icebreaker:
How many houses have you lived in?
Which one was your favorite?
Why was it your favorite?

Scripture:
Luke 6:46-49 NLT

Lesson:
HGTV has a long-running, TV program called “If Walls Could Talk” which explores historic homes and finds hidden treasures behind their old walls.  You never know what you may find behind walls that have been sealed up for years.  Once we found a perfectly preserved Pepsi can from 1975, the year our oldest daughter was born.  But sometimes you uncover unpleasant things like water or termite damage that are quietly eating away your home.  Our mission is to constantly guard the walls of our hearts and homes from outside forces.

How does what is in our heart effect how we act?
Why did Jesus challenge phony devotion?
What are the signs of a bad foundation?
What are some bad building materials we need to watch out for?
Why is it worth it to spend more on the quality materials?
What are the signs of a solid, deep foundation?
How can you protect your heart and home from invaders?
