Fellowship:
Icebreaker:
What is the hardest work you have ever done?
What is the biggest sacrifice you have ever made?
Why did you do these things?
Scripture:
Luke 10:2, 25-37
Lesson:
Our local church has
partnered with a sister church in Santa Rita, Honduras. We have sent short-term missionaries to build
buildings, work with children and provide medical help to the sick. Many have participated by either going or
providing funds or materials so others can go.
But, what have we done for our neighbor down the street or across
town? Our mission of renewal is not just
for Honduras. It is for the sick person
at Summit Hospital, the lady selling papers on the corner of Shute Lane and the
hungry kid attending 4th grade at Ruby Major Elementary!
What was Jesus sending the 72 out to do?
What was the “harvest?”
How do you see the “harvest” today?
What is the key to Eternal Life?
Which part is the most important?
Who is our neighbor?
Why do we resist “mission” work?
If you really believed loving your neighbor was important,
what would you do?
What does it take to work the “harvest?”
