UNDER PRESSURE: Worn Down by Worry

When do you fill the tank?  When convenient or when empty?
Have you ever run out of gas?  Where?  Why?

Scripture:
Philippians 4:4-8

Lesson:
Maybe you are one of those people who let their gas tank become almost empty before refueling.  Car experts say that letting the tank run low can cause trash to be sucked into the engine and damage it.  When under pressure from the worries of life, our “Joy Tank” can start to run low.  We need to constantly “top off” our tank of joy by fixing our thoughts on excellent things and not letting the trash be sucked into our minds.

What steals your joy?
What do you worry about?
What is the source of worry?
If the joy of the Lord is our strength, what happens when joy runs low?
Why is worry selfish?
How can prayer replace worry?
What are we to think about instead of worry?
How can we help each other in this area?
