A SAVIOR IS BORN! God's Parents - A Healthy Model

Scripture:
Matthew 1:18-24; 2:14-15, 19-23

Lesson:
We tend to think that Mary and Joseph were blessed to have Jesus as their son.  We don’t think much about how blessed Jesus was to have them as His parents!  After all, they were hand-picked for Him by God.  They were very special people.  We can learn much from their example as mom and dad to the Savior of the world!

What made Joseph so extraordinary?
Which of Joseph’s qualities would you like to have?
What made Mary so extraordinary?
Which of Mary’s qualities would you like to have?
Why were they the perfect couple to be Jesus’ parents?
What three characteristics did the sermon lift out?  (Character, Courage, Communication)
What part did courage play in their raising of Jesus?
Why was communication with God important?
Why did Joseph not need a GPS?
