Weekly Overview: (skip if video is used)

As we have discovered over the last eleven weeks, there is much brokenness in our lives but the good news is:  We may be broken but we are not finished!  God’s mighty power can make us strong!   His Word tells us that the best defense for the next battle of life is a good offense.  We must be prepared to stand firm against the enemy by having on our armor of faith.

In today’s scripture, Peter instructs us on how to finish strong.  Peter knew about being broken.  He had let Jesus down just when Jesus needed him the most.  He surely felt useless to God.  Peter was broken but he certainly was not finished.  With the help of the Holy Spirit, Peter became “the rock” that Jesus knew he could be.  Peter teaches us that God is faithful to see us through until the end.

We are to be obedient to God with our faith shield up.  It may seem like there is no end to the broken season but, if you stand firm and trust in Him, God will lift you up.  We can be healed.  We can be restored.  Praise God!  We are broken no longer.
