THE PATIENCE OF JOB: God's Faith in Job

The following questions can be used as a weekly recap in a small group setting or as a personal study aid for the sermon preached by Lead Pastor Tommy Dove at the Grace Place on Sunday, August 27, 2017.  Past sermons are available offline at www.nashvillechurch.com.  Click on “Media” to view the video.
Weekly Warm-up:
What traits do you look for in a friend?
How do real friends react in problems?
How can you be a better friend?

Weekly Overview:
Going through a season of suffering is difficult.  It is hard to see that any blessing will ever come again.  Job felt that way but God had not forgotten Job.  God has not forgotten you in your suffering either.  Job was faithful to trust God through even the toughest of circumstances.  He never doubted God even when everything and everyone was telling him otherwise.  God’s faith in Job was strong!
Weekly Discussion Questions:
Read Job 42:7-17

How did God react to Job’s friends?
What did God require of the friends?
Why do you think God wanted Job to be a part of their repentance?
What kind of faith did Job demonstrate to his friends and family?
How was Job’s life blessed after his trial?
What makes a life full?
How has the Lord blessed you?
What makes your life full?

Group Prayer:
Pray for the list of church weekly needs.
Pray for a Job-like faith.

Pray for your friends.
